How it works, what it isn't yet, and where it's going.

Everything here is written to be checkable, not just persuasive. If something is a future plan rather than a shipped feature, it's labeled that way.

Available Now

🎥 Guided Live Scan

Real-time coaching that detects your hands, verifies focus against server-side ground truth, and confirms coverage before you finish — walk through it yourself from the Start Scan button.

⚡ GPU-Accelerated Reconstruction

The dense 3D reconstruction step runs on rented GPU compute, cutting what used to take 15-40 minutes on CPU down to roughly a minute — most scans finish end-to-end in about five.

📤 Open Export

Every completed scan can be downloaded as a standard PLY point cloud or mesh — no proprietary viewer required to use your own data.

On The Roadmap

What we're building toward nextVision, not shipped

🏪 Digital Twin Marketplace Concept

A future connection layer between clinics running Motiva scans and the labs, aligner providers and specialists who need that data — one validated model, routed to whoever needs it next, instead of re-scanning at every step. Not built yet; described here so you know it's the direction, not a live product.

📊 Published Accuracy Studies In progress

Validation against professional scanner ground truth, with the resulting mm-error numbers published openly — the milestone that unlocks every higher-precision use case. We say "coming" until we can show you the actual numbers.

🦷 Restorative-Grade Precision Long-term

Crown- and bridge-level accuracy is a multi-year target, dependent on a growing dataset of paired phone-scan / scanner-ground-truth cases. Screening and monitoring are what the product does today.

The Honest Read
⚠ Motiva Dental is an experimental screening aid, not a diagnostic device or a certified medical instrument. No regulatory clearance is claimed. Every output requires review by a licensed dentist or orthodontist before it informs any clinical decision.

Best way to understand it is to try it.

Five minutes, your own phone, a real 3D model at the end.
